A quiet place part 2 movie#
If you’re someone who, in the before-times, saw a movie once a month, aside from the stuff to which you can bring all the kids, A Quiet Place part II is the go-to “babysitter pick” of the moment. That this one is also well-reviewed and well-liked certain helps. It has well-liked stars (Emily Blunt and Cillian Murphy), a quasi-marquee director in John Krasinski (who does cameo in the aforementioned prologue) and every bit of buzz and goodwill from the first film. Yes, it’s a sequel, but A) lots of folks saw and liked the previous film either in theaters or in post-theatrical and B) you don’t really need to have seen the first film to keep up with this one (the dynamite prologue fills in the blanks). Watching it in 2021, it might not feel contemporary, but it is still a heart-wrenching story.As for its success, and 2.8 x its $57 million Fri-Mon debut would make it one of the leggiest “big” Memorial Day openers in recent history, it has positioned itself as the go-to pick for general moviegoers who are making their once-a-month trip to theaters. It is one of those Raj Kapoor films that deserves a lot more attention than it gets. In her weekly column, Bollywood Rewind, ’s Sampada Sharma wrote about the film, “Jagte Raho is an immersive experience with its precise storytelling and stellar acting, but it is the music of the film that adds a layer of hope to an otherwise bleak story. It revolves around a homeless man who is in search of water but is mistaken to be a thief by police. The 1956 film Jagte Raho, starring Raj Kapoor, examines the hypocrisy of the civilised society. Vaishnav Tej is good, but Sai Chand is the real surprise.” Her author-backed character adds heft to the film. In his review of the film, ’s Gabbeta Ranjith Kumar wrote, “Rakul Preet’s character Obulamma comes as a surprise. Written and directed by Krish Jagarlamudi, the film features Vaishnav Tej and Rakul Preet Singh in the lead roles. If you want to watch a light drama, Telugu film Kondapolam is also running in cinema halls. Directed by Antoine Fuqua, it also stars Christina Vidal and Riley Keough.

He feels director Ravi K Chandran has innovated the material he had in hand as much as he could. According to ’s Manoj Kumar R, Bhramam is an enjoyable remake of Andhadhun. His musical journey gets interlaced with suspense, inspiration, confusion, and drama as he gets embroiled in a murder mystery.
